Still Life Goa
An ongoing photographic series by Natasha Sood & Daniel D’Souza, Still Life Goa reframes the textures and rituals of Goan life, one quiet composition at a time.
A quiet homage to the village baker, Poder’s Art celebrates the soulful variety of traditional Goan pão. Scattered like constellations across a warm backdrop, each bread tells its own story: crusty, coiled, puffed, or pinched, shaped by hand and habit, heat and heritage.
These aren’t just baked goods, they're morning rituals, evening companions, and midday vehicles for curry and comfort. An edible archive of Portuguese influence and local rhythm, passed down through rising dough and pre-dawn footsteps.
A still life that smells faintly of history, and freshly of home.
